The Microscope Slide Printer is typically paired with a hydrophobic ink for your lab slides. We advise on using the Cytonix MH-ink due to its options on translucent and pigmented color along with its hydrophobic properties. The benefit of hydrophobic ink is that it will retain the sample inside the containment area printed on the slide. The printer has the option for integrated pick in place into an oven for curing the slides. The brand of ink is used in a variety of medical fields such as making hydrophobic immunological diagnostics. Your choice of the print image will give you control over your process – how many samples you use per slide.
The Microscope Slide Printer comes with a variety of options for your process. Integrated vision allows automatic inspection of slides after each print and disposal of rejects for turn-key operation. The automatic loader allows two stacks of slides to be loaded on the printer at the same time. Options such as anti-static, automatic ink dispensing and more can be added. We can assist you for additional automation and integration with your current process. The entire system is manufactured and designed in the United States.

Your product surface may require pretreatment to promote ink adhesion. Products ordered in bulk may have oil contaminants or other residue as well as having poor surface tension, which can be remedied by flame pretreatment. Pretreatment integration is done by installing a burner on your machine that will provide flame to your entire surface area. If your product is cylindrical, it will spin 360 degrees, parallel with the burner and if it is flat, the flame system will move to cover your product area. Burners are made in house and to size. Pretreatment is done prior to printing your product.
